Walther Ppk Serial Numbers Rzm
There was a serial number range from 800, I believe. This was a large contract put into Walther by the RZM to supply service pistols to Political leaders. There were later RZMs but IMO it's best to stay in the above serial number range because some with other serial numbers may have been put togethers., 11:55 PM#6. In 1910, Walther introduced the 'Deutche Selbstlade Pistole Walther' in 6.35mm. When the Model 2 was released in 1914, this pistol became known as the Model 1. These 9 models illustrate the eveloution of Walther pistol design which culminated in the Walther PP (Polizeipistole) introduced in 1929 and the Walther PPK(Polizeipistole Kriminalmodell.
Wonderful example of the iconic Walther PPK pistol with a rare NSDAP (Nazi Party) RZM logo. Principal markings include: “803613” (serial number); “Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thür.) Walther’s Patent Cal 7,65 m/m” (manufacturer); “Mod. PPK” (Model Polizei Pistole Kriminal, which translates to “Police Pistol Detective’s Model”); “RZM” logo (NSDAP Reichszeugmeisterei acceptance stamp).
The condition is exceptional with 96% of the blue remaining; almost Like New! The pistol is fully functioning, the serial numbers match, and the bore is great. Made by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik of Zella-Mehlis, Thüringen, this is a very uncommon and highly desirable example of a 7.65mm PPK pocket pistol purchased by the NSDAP for issue to key party members. The official RZM logo denotes that the pistol was approved by the party quartermaster/procurement office (Reichszeugmeisterei), based in Munich. Walther supplied 31,000 PPK pistols to the NSDAP in 1934 – 1936; based on the serial number, this pistol was made in 1934. Includes the original brown holster and a spare magazine; the holster is marked with “D.R.G.M.,” “Walther PPK,” and with a logo for maker AKAH.
